Hood River Saddle Club Mega Tack & Everything Sale

Mega Tack & Everything Sale – August 15, 2020

We will be having our 3rd annual Mega Tack & Everything Sale on August 15th from 8am-4pm.  Funds raised will be used for Saddle Club grounds improvements as well as community outreach programs. Donations are welcome and appreciated!  HRSC is 501c3 so your donation is tax deductible.  Any and all items are welcomed but should be “gently used” please.  Contact Helen Hansen (541) 386-5913 or (541) 399-6654 to arrange a day/time the week PRIOR for dropoff. Due to COVID restrictions the sale will be held outdoors this year.  Masks and social distancing are required.  Gloves and hand sanitizer will be available.

Meet A Horse Day – August 24, 2019

  Hood River Saddle club is offering the opportunity for everyone to meet a horse on Saturday, August 24th from 9:30am to 1:00pm. Click Here to go to the FB Event Page. Come and see Western, English, Dressage, Jumping, Trail Riding, and a Carriage Driving presentation by a beautiful Friesian team. Talk with owners about riding and owning a horse. There will be ponies to meet and horses to brush & finger paint or hand print. FREE OF CHARGE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE! Please bring a helmet if you wish to be on a horse.

On Tuesday, April 2nd, HRSC welcomes guest speaker Brandi Ebner, Executive Director of the Oregon Horse Council (OHC) from Prineville, who will provide an overview of the OHC and the many new programs and initiatives underway for 2019. If you own or manage a business that relates in any way to the equine industry, or if you own or lease a horse (or not!), please join us. This presentation is open to the public. The goal of the OHC is to represent, support and promote the equine industry across the state. Mega Tack & Everything Sale

MEGA Tack & Everything Sale – March 9, 2019

Our 2nd annual fundraiser sale is Saturday, March 9th, 8AM to 4PM at the clubhouse. Donations are being accepted through Thursday, March 7th. If you have saddles to sell, you’re welcome to bring them. A 10% consignment fee for saddles will go to the club. Thanks for rounding up horse tack, blankets and gear as well as household goods, linens, clothing, boots and shoes, books and toys, tools, gardening items, tables and chairs and more. Bring it on! As we did last year, we’re inviting the public to support our sale with donations, then come see us on the 9th and go shopping!

Equine First Aid Presentation 3/5/19

Equine First Aid Presentation w/Dr. Foss – March 5, 2019

Dr. Mike Foss from Alpine Veterinary Hospital will be providing an overview on Equine First Aid, with a focus on back country First Aid, on Tuesday, March 5th at the Hood River Saddle Club. Pizza will be provided at 6 PM with the First Aid overview starting at 6:30 PM. This event is open to the public.
